Most of us avoid Nuts for fear of weight gain. But friends, do you know, A prospective study published in the journal Obesity shows such fears are groundless. In fact, people who eat nuts at least twice a week are less likely to gain weight than those who almost never eat nuts. So munch your peanuts without any fear at least twice a week. Hurray!! Now I'll munch even more than before..I love peanuts!!!!!
Ingredients:
- Raw peanuts - 2 cups
- Oil - 2 tsp
- Red chilly pwd - ½ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Curry leaves - few no.s
- Onion chopped (Optional)
Method:
1. Heat oil in a skillet.
2. Toss peanuts in medium flame for about 12 to 15 minutes.
3. Add salt and curry leaves..
4. Shake the pan a couple of times during roasting to stir the peanuts.
5. Roast until peanuts are golden, with constant stirring for even coloring and flavor
6. Watch carefully to prevent scorching.
7. Remove from flame and add red chilly pwd..
8. Allow to cool a few minutes before serving, as they will harden up and become crunchier.
9. Healthy and comfort roasted peanuts ready to munch with hot tea..!
I always love to serve this spicy peanuts with onions. Taste is great.My hubby love this..
