Hello ,have you heard about kidneybeans.? Kidney beans are a very good source of cholesterol-lowering fiber, as are most other beans. This is also known as rajma.Here is a recipe of tasty rajma gravy.Which can be served with chappathis and also with rice.
Here is simple & tasty recipe for kidney shaped beans.. Lets cook....!!!!
Ingredients:
- Kidney Beans-1 cup dried
- Onion-1 large chopped finely
- Tomato-3 pureed
- Ginger Garlic Paste-1 tblspn
- Coriander powder / Malli Podi-1 tblspn
- Red chilli powder-2 tsp
- Cumin seeds / Jeerakam-1 tsp
- Turmeric powder / Manjal Podi-1 tsp
- Garam masala powder-1 tsp
- Coriander leaves for garnishing(Optional)
- Oil-4 tblspn
Method:
- Soak kidney beans over night,drain it...
- Heat oil in a kadai or pressure cooker and add in cumin seeds..Add in onions and fry till golden.
- Add in turmeric powder and mix well.Add in ginger garlic paste and cook that for 1 min.
- Add in chilli and coriander powder and mix well.
- Pour in tomato puree and cook that till oil separtes from this.
- Add in garam masala powder and mix well.
- Add in the soaked kidney beans along with the cooking water and mix well.
- Cook on a medium flame for 2,3 whistles.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.Serve it with rice or roti..
