Ginger Curry Recipe


Ingredients :



  1. Ginger – 400 gm .cut into thin slices or finely chopped
  2. Shallots – 8 no.s chopped (Optional. You do not need to use them if you are making it for sadya )
  3. Green chilies – 4 – 5 chopped fine

Mango Pickle Recipe


INGREDIENTS:



  1. Raw mangoes, with skin, cut into cubes -2 cups
  2. Salt (you may need to adjust this) -2 tbsp 
  3. Oil (Gingelly oil)-As needed(Can use other veg oil)

Sambar Kerala Style | Kerala Sadya Style Sambar






Sambar is a flavorful spicy South Indian lentil soup made with a variety of vegetables. It fits nicely with many South Indian meals, including dosas (pancakes), idlis (savory cakes), and rice. It could be said that a South Indian meal is incomplete without sambar.


Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup dal available in any Indian grocery store
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric

For Seasoning:
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 1/8 teaspoon fenugreek seed 
  • 1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds

Semiya Payasam / Vermicelli Payasam / Indian Dessert



Hi, I love sweets do you? I know this is not about sweet I meant sweet dishes. I love to make payasam at all family occasions.My family loves it. Today I am sharing an awesome Indian dessert. Semiya payasam In an easy way I didnt used any condensed milk.It is ready tasty recipe.It is a. part of our traditional Ona sadya.(Kerala).

Green gram payasam (Cherupayar payasam)




Ingredients:


  1. Cherupayar                             - 150gm to 200gm
  2. Cashewnuts                            -few
  3. Rasins(Unakka Munthiri)         - 8 to 10 nos
  4. Jaggery                                    -2,3 blocks melted
  5. Coconut milk                            - half of one
  6. Cardamom powder(Elakka)       - 3 nos
  7. Salt                                           -as required
  8. Water(Hot)                               - As reqd
  9. Ghee                                         -as required


Method:
  1. Cook the split green gram dhal with needed water and salt in a pressure cooker for 3 whistles.
  2. Put jaggery in 3/4 glass of hot water and melt it.
  3. Fry raisins and cashewnuts in some ghee and keep it aside.
  4. Add jaggery syrup, cashewnut, raisins, coconut milk and cardamom powder to the cooked split green gram dhal and boil it again. Add water if necessary.
  5. Easy cherupayar payasam is ready.

Translate
