Ingredients :
- Ginger – 400 gm .cut into thin slices or finely chopped
- Shallots – 8 no.s chopped (Optional. You do not need to use them if you are making it for sadya )
- Green chilies – 4 – 5 chopped fine

- Raw mangoes, with skin, cut into cubes -2 cups
- Salt (you may need to adjust this) -2 tbsp
- Oil (Gingelly oil)-As needed(Can use other veg oil)

- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
For Seasoning:
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
- 1/8 teaspoon fenugreek seed
- 1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds

Semiya payasam In an easy way I didnt used any condensed milk.It is ready tasty recipe.It is a. part of our traditional Ona sadya.(Kerala).

Ingredients:
- Cherupayar - 150gm to 200gm
- Cashewnuts -few
- Rasins(Unakka Munthiri) - 8 to 10 nos
- Jaggery -2,3 blocks melted
- Coconut milk - half of one
- Cardamom powder(Elakka) - 3 nos
- Salt -as required
- Water(Hot) - As reqd
- Ghee -as required
Method:
- Cook the split green gram dhal with needed water and salt in a pressure cooker for 3 whistles.
- Put jaggery in 3/4 glass of hot water and melt it.
- Fry raisins and cashewnuts in some ghee and keep it aside.
- Add jaggery syrup, cashewnut, raisins, coconut milk and cardamom powder to the cooked split green gram dhal and boil it again. Add water if necessary.
- Easy cherupayar payasam is ready.
