- Fish- cleaned and cut into pieces
- Onion - 1 cup (chopped)
- Tomato -3/4 cup chopped
- Ginger -1 inch piece
- Garlic -4 cloves
- Green chilli - 1
- Curry leaves- few
- Salt as required
- Turmeric powder - a pinch
- Chilli powder -1 tsp
- Coriander powder -2 tsp
- Jeera powder -3/4 tsp
- Fenugreek seeds-1 tsp
- Kudam puli-4 pieces
- Oil - 2 tsp
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan saut onions till it turns golden brown .
- Add ginger, garlic and saute for a few more minutes.
- Add tomatoes and cook till tomatoes turn mashy.
- Add all the ingredients mentioned under spice powder and saute for a few minutes.
- Cool it and grind it to a fine paste.
- Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan or add fenugreek seeds when it splutters, add the paste
- Add in green chillies , curry leaves and Kudam puli.
- When it get boiled add in Fish pieces
- When the fish pieces get cooked turn off the flame.
- Spicy Fish curry is ready to serve as a side dish for Rice.. Enjoy...!!!
