Ginger Curry Recipe


Ingredients :



  1. Ginger – 400 gm .cut into thin slices or finely chopped
  2. Shallots – 8 no.s chopped (Optional. You do not need to use them if you are making it for sadya )
  3. Green chilies – 4 – 5 chopped fine

Mango Pickle Recipe


INGREDIENTS:



  1. Raw mangoes, with skin, cut into cubes -2 cups
  2. Salt (you may need to adjust this) -2 tbsp 
  3. Oil (Gingelly oil)-As needed(Can use other veg oil)

Sharjah Milk Shake | Banana Milk Shake





Sharjah Shake - Banana Milkshake



It is very easy for preparing milk shakes with bananas.Some of us call it sharjah shakes.:)
You can very easily prepare this milk shakes,if you have bananas,milk and boost. this is a 5 min recipe and always we love its taste.If you dont have frozen milk you can add ice cubes intead of that. Do not add more bananas because it gets more thicker so we can't zip the juice as much easier.
Try the recipe.. I know it is a common recipe. But kids will love..

Straw berry Banana Milk Shake Recipe


The milkshakes are made from frozen bananas, a few strawberries, and a cup of milk. Make sure the bananas you freeze are extra ripe.
The ripe bananas are more sweeter and so the  strawberry milkshakes will taste better.

Badam Pista Milk Shake

This is one of my favourite milk shake.. We can also make pista shake with artificial pista essence,but here is the natural way to make pista badam milk shake... taste is very awsome....

INGREDIENTS:



  1. milk-4 cups 
  2. almonds-10-15 
  3. pistachios-1/2 cup
  4. saffron strands-a few 
  5. cardamon powder-1/4 tbsp 
  6. sugar-1/4 cup 
  7. water as required



METHOD:



  1. Boil the milk in a heavy bottomed pan.Continue heating even after the milk boils.
  2. Heat about a liter of water in another pan and add the almonds and the pistachios. Continue heating until the almonds expand.
  3. Drain off the water and wash the nuts with cold water.
  4. The skin of the almonds and the pistachios can be easily removed now.
  5. Now grind the almonds and pistachios into a smooth paste and add it to the milk and stir well.
  6. Add the saffron strands,sugar and cardamon powder and mix well.
  7. Continue heating the milk for a few more minutes.
  8. When the milk becomes a little thicker than before,cool it .
  9. Refrigerate it for 1-2 hours and serve it cold.

Onion Tomato Chutney Recipe



Ingredients:


  1. Onion  2, small sized 
  2. Tomato  2, small sized 

Fish Fry Recipe





Ingredients:


  1. Fish  – 4-5 of medium size
  2. Ginger & garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  3. Chilly powder – 1 – 1 1/2 tsp
  4. Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
  5. Whole pepper –  1/2 tsp
  6. Lime juice – 1-2 tsp
  7. Salt-As required
  8. Coconut oil-For Shallow frying.



Method:



  1. Apply little salt and lime juice on the fish pieces and wash it with water. Drain the water.. 
  2. Make gashes in the fish pieces and marinate the pieces with the ginger garlic paste..Add little salt,all spice powders and marinate well..
  3.  Keep the marinated fish for half an hour.
  4.  Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the fish pieces.Serve with Cucumber Slices :)

Pressure cooker biriyani Recipe



INGREDIENTS:



  1. Meat -in pieces
  2. Basmati Rice - 1 1/2 cups soaked for 15 min
  3. Fried Onion - 1onion 
  4. Ginger - 1/2 " long piece
  5. Garlic - 3 to 4 cloves
  6. Yoghurt - 1 cup
  7. Tomato - 1 large chopped
  8. Green chilies - 4 to 5 or as per taste
  9. Fresh Mint leaves - 1/2 cup
  10. Cilantro chopped - 1/2 cup
  11. Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon
  12. Cloves - 5 to 6
  13. Cinnamon stick - 1" long stick
  14. Green Cardamom pods - 5 to 6
  15. Black cardamom - 2
  16. Cumin seeda - 1 tablespoon
  17. Vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons + 1 tablespoons
  18. Salt as per taste.




METHOD:



  1. In a small grinder add Ginger, Garlic, Green Chilies, Mint Leaves, Cilantro and 1 tablespoon of water and grind to make a fine paste.
  2. Take a bowl add the Mint cilantro paste to it, add Yoghurt, Salt, Turmeric, Tomato, Fried Onion and mix well. Now add the chicken pieces to the mixture and marinate with the mixture.
  3. Take a pan and heat 3 tablespoons of oil into the pan. Add the marinated chicken pieces to the pan and cover it for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes open the lid, now you can see lots of water came from the chicken.
  4. Evaporate all the excess water and stir fry till oil comes out from the chicken. Turn off the oven.
  5. Now heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a Pressure Cooker and add Cloves - 5 to 6, Green cardamom pods - 5 to 6, Cinnamon stick - 1" long stick , Black cardamom - 2, Shah Jeera - 1 tablespoon and some salt and fry till a nice aroma comes from the whole spices.
  6. Now add the soaked rice to the Cooker and fry for a minute. Add the chicken pieces to the Pressure Cooker.
  7. Add 1 & 3/4 cup of water into the Pressure Cooker. Pressure cook the Biryani for 2 whistle on High heat. Turn off the oven and let the pressure release itself .
  8. When all the pressure is released by itself, open the lid and your Biryani is ready to serve. 


Fish Mappas Recipe


Hi my readers.. here is an another tasty fish curry which is made with coconut milk...
Lets get cooking..!!!






Ingredients:


  1. Fish: 1/2 kg cleaned and cut into medium sized pieces
  2. Onion: 1 1/2 medium sized, sliced.
  3. Tomato: 3 sliced
  4. Ginger: 1 inch chopped
  5. Garlic: 5 to 6 cloves, chopped.
  6. Green Chilly: 2 or 3, slit.
  7. Red chilly powder: 2 tsp.
  8. Fresh coriander powder: 2-3 tsp.
  9. Turmeric: A fat pinch.
  10. Pepper powder: 1/2 tsp
  11. Pepper powder: 1/4 tsp.
  12. Cinnamon: 1/4 inch.
  13. Cloves: 1/4 tsp.
  14. Cardamon: 2.
  15. Coconut milk: 1 cup.
  16. Thin coconut milk: 1/2 cup.
  17. Oil as needed
  18. Curry leaves-few


Method:



  1. Marinate the fish with red chilly powder,turmeric powder,cumin powder and salt set aside for 30 mins.
  2. Heat a pan with  oil and fry fish.keep it aside.
  3. Heat another pan and add 1or 2 tbsp of oil.
  4. Add in the cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom.
  5. Add in sliced onion, ginger-garlic, green chilly, and curry leaves....saute for 2 min.Until it gets a golden brown colour
  6. Then add the red chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric, and pepper powder into it.
  7. Mix them and lightly fry it .Fry it until raw smell changed.
  8. Add in just two tomatoes  and saute well  add salt into it...do not saute the tomatoes for long, they just have to blend into the masala...
  9. Add 1/2 cup thin coconut milk and gently add the fish pieces
  10. Cover it  and cook for about 5 to 7 min, occasionally swirling the pan, so that the fish does not get sticked to the bottom.
  11. Once the gravy has reduced, add the whole coconut milk and gently stir,
  12. Add  in sliced tomato and add into the  gravy, allow it to stand for a min or two and then switch off fire...
  13. Add in curry leaves.
  14. Serve as hot with rice.. or any other food you wish .

Spicy Kerala Chicken Curry



Here is the super easy and tasty recipe of kerala style chicken curry..

Ingredients:


  1. Chicken: 1 kg
  2. Onion: 3.sliced
  3. Ginger: 1.5 inch.chopped
  4. Garlic: 18-20 cloves chopped.
  5. Curry leaves: 1 sprig.
  6.  Red Chilly Powder: 1 1/2 to 2 tbsp, adjust spice according to your spice level.
  7. Coriander powder: 1 tbsp, heaped.
  8. Turmeric: 1/4 tsp.
  9. Pepper powder: 3/4 tsp.
  10. Garam Masala: 2 tsp.
  11. Tomatoes: 2, large chopped or 3 medium.
  12. Salt: 1.5 tsp or as needed.
  13. Coconut oil: 4 tbsp.
  14. Curry leaves-few
  15. Water: About 1 cup... or as required



Method:



  1. Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan or use pressure cooker.
  2. Add  ginger,garlic and green chilli and mix well..
  3. Add  onions and put salt into it and cook for 3 minutes and add curry leaves into it.
  4. Add  Garam masala,turmeric,chilli powder and coriander powder..Cook this for 30 sec..
  5. Add in tomatoes and mix well.
  6. Add  chicken pieces and mix well...
  7. Add  a cup of water..Cover and cook until chicken well cooked...
  8. Our spicy chicken curry is ready to serve.. serve as hot with porotta, rice,chappathis or as u like..
